About the workshop:
As a level 2 researcher, you will develop your knowledge in advanced Health Service Research methodology. You will also acquire knowledge of project management and leadership in health service research. After this workshop, you will be able to conduct more complex health service research projects, manage and lead multiple projects. This workshop will be very useful for those health(care) professionals who are working or are planning to work as a advanced research assistants.

Learning objectives:
After completion of this workshop, you will improve your literacy about:

• Advanced knowledge in epidemiology: epidemiologic study design: advanced topics, issues in bias, confounding, effect modification, issues in p values and 95% confidence intervals, clinical significance vs. statistical significance, regression modelling.
• Advanced knowledge in biostatistics: Regression Analysis (correlation, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, logistic regression, confounding and causation, effect modification or interaction), Survival Analysis (survival data, summary statistics and graphics including the Kaplan-Meier estimate, comparison of two groups, the concept of a hazard of an event, the cox proportional hazards model, comparison of cox regression models, predictions from the cox model).
• Measurement in Health (Essential concepts in measurement, questionnaire development, fundamentals of reliability, and validity).
• Principles of project management
• Principles of team management

Participants: Healthcare professionals who have the knowledge or research at the level of “Health Service Researcher, Level 1” workshop.
